You better off using the US as its more wildly used world wide, the exchange rate in Barbados is,1.97 which works out at 2 to 1 US dollars, however they are planning to switch from a fixed exchange to one that floats,it’s also possible for you to us your credit card or debit, just check with your bank for any additional charges that may occur,if your car ring foreign currency, carry it sparingly like a couple 1s and 5s ( US) for tips or change it at the local banks or cam bios which may give you a better deal for your money.
But overall Barbados accepts all currencies of your typical Global economic Giants.
U.S. currency, especially traveller’s cheques in U.S… Banks do accept Canadian travellers cheques, and cash into Barbadian (source: my brother). I wouldn’t recommend pound sterlines..
U.S. seems the best way to go, or just exchange into all Barbadian dollars, if you wish.

Either US dollars or Bajan is fine. If you have Barbados dollars left back at the end of your trip, be sure to change it back at the airport
